Singapore-based Yang Kee Logistics has broken ground at a new S$45m ($31.6m) chemical logistics hub in Jurong. Slated for completion sometime next year, the five-story development, reports the local Straits Times, will encompass a total area of 40,000 m2 and in addition to chemical warehousing will offer customers various value-added services, including drumming and bagging. According to national enterprise development agency SPRING Singapore, the new hub will also allow the company to consolidate its existing operations at six different locations into one centralised state-of-the-art location while concurrently enabling it to implement an RFID-enabled tracking system to improve efficiency.
