US House Committee queries CDR Rule

The chairman and sub-committee chair of the US House Committee on Energy and Commerce have written to Lisa Jackson, US EPA Administrator, querying implementation of the Chemical Data Reporting RuleThe Rule imposes various reporting requirements on businesses manufacturing, importing, processing, distributing or using chemicals as from February 1.
The letter asks some fundamental questions about compliance issues that EPA has so far failed to address and asks for a “stand-down” until the “chaos” caused by these implementation uncertainties has been cleared up.
The Committee is asking for a response by tomorrow (January 20).
