Two new contracts in a week for FlotechPS
Flotech Performance Systems has clocked up two new contracts in the space of a week to add to its rapidly expanding order book. The company will work on a fluids automation and control project for the Middle East with Swinton Technology, a leading global supplier of oil and gas flow metering computer and control systems.
FlotechPS has also been awarded a contract to supply Oikos Storage with heavy fuel oil and gasoil blending systems for loading bespoke blends onto ships at Oikos’ Canvey Island facility.
Earlier this year the firm was commissioned to deliver two new additive-pressuring pump skids assemblies to Greenergy’s PX Terminal in Plymouth, UK, and deliver a used cooking oil (UCO) and diesel truck loading and blending system to Agri Energy’s terminal at Liverpool. The equipment will be used to load a wide variety of bespoke UCO and diesel blends to the logistics fleet of a major fast food supplier in the UK.
“The terminals market in the UK is a drastically changing industry at what seems like an ever-increasing pace. Fast paced change drives fast-pace requirements by our customers to design, manufacture and deliver solutions that meet their business objectives quickly, efficiently and safely,” FlotechPS’s technical director, Richard Harris, tells HCB.
“Our in-house design team and UK manufacturing facility in Grimsby mean we can react fast to support the needs of our customers and ensure they can direct their business infrastructure in the direction they need to go.”
Despite this flurry of orders for blending systems, FlotechPS manufactures and supplies a wide variety of other terminal equipment, from control and automation systems, to loading, additive injection, pump control and level measurement.
FlotechPS has also established partnerships with international companies such as Saferack Loading Rack Technologies and Jordan Technologies, and more such partnerships are in the pipeline. “Our industry partnerships allow us to deliver solutions to our customers that are based around market-leading technologies which are industry-proven,” says Harris. “You wouldn’t build a house on unknown foundations and the same principles apply when building turnkey systems for our customers. By selecting carefully and investing in our suppliers we can ensure we are delivering systems that will meet and exceed our customers’ requirements.”
