The American Petroleum Institute (API) Committee on Petroleum Measurement held its latest semi-annual meeting this past October in Savannah, Georgia. As part of the proceedings, Brodie International invited committee members to a BBQ dinner and tour of its meter and valve manufacturing facilities and calibration centre in nearby Statesboro.

More than 90 people jumped on two luxury coaches to make the trip to see where Brodie manufactures its BiRotor meters, piston valves, strainers and air eliminators. Also on the tour was Brodie’s 25,000+ bbl/hr outdoor flow loop, one of the largest such loops in North America.

The tour was followed by cocktails and dinner on Brodie’s 40-acre lawn. Dick Mathers, Brodie’s global account director and API committee representative, reports: “I had numerous emails after the tour and every one of them was extremely complimentary. I think everyone who attended was impressed with our manufacturing facilities and I know everyone loved the BBQ. We were truly blown away by the numbers that turned out.”

Tom Clark, Brodie’s president/CEO, sums up the event this way: “This was an excellent opportunity for us to host API members at Brodie headquarters. We felt privileged to share this event in conjunction with the API meeting and felt confident that our colleagues enjoyed their time as much as we enjoyed sharing our products, facilities and hospitality.”
