Oiltanking buys two sites from Dow

Oiltanking has bought two bulk liquids terminals from Dow Chemical. The 9,300 m3 Cartagena site is Oiltanking's first facility in Colombia and offers room for expansion. It is located in the midst of the Marmonal petrochemical hub. The terminal has a deepwater jetty with a 29 ft draught.

The second facility, at Joliet, is located on the Illinois Waterway, giving access to the US midwest.

The terminal has 44,600 m3 of capacity, mainly for chemicals, in 67 tanks and has substantial land available for future expansions. Additionally, it has two docks for river barges and truck and rail car handling facilities.
