MAEL picks K+N
Monarch Aircraft Engineering Ltd (MAEL), the technical arm of Monarch Airline, has selected Kuehne + Nagel (K+N) as its new partner for the movement of spare parts and aircraft equipment world-wide. Under the agreement, Kuehne + Nagel will provide MAEL with air transport and courier services, ranging from dangerous goods, inbound and outbound courier and domestic deliveries and collections to urgent and critical door-to-door and aircraft on ground (AOG) services. As a result, K+N asserts, MAEL stands to benefit “from utilising Kuehne + Nagel’s considerable experience in the aviation environment through the unique and award winning ‘Supply the Sky’ solutions”, an integrated range of logistics services for the aerospace and aviation industry that covers the entire life cycle of an aircraft and which “is tailor-made to meet each customer’s high demands”.
“We firmly believe that by working in partnership with Kuehne + Nagel we will be able to provide an even more reliable service to our customers at a significantly reduced cost,” says David Websdale, MAEL’s head of logistics. “We are excited to be working in collaboration with MAEL,” agrees Peter Ulber, chief executive of K+N North West Europe. “This contract further emphasises our ability to fulfil the bespoke and critical requirements of the aviation industry.”
