FSL Trust has confirmed that subsidiaries of Berlian Laju Tanker (BLT) have defaulted on lease agreements covering three chemical tankers. FSL is demanding the “orderly redelivery” of the vessels, Pertiwi, Prita Dewi and Pujawati. FSL says the lessees failed to pay the charter hire due on February 1, 2012; these payments are guaranteed by BLT, which last month entered a “debt standstill” and suspended its shares on the Indonesian and Singapore stock exchanges.
