A last-minute correction has been agreed to the changes to the text of ADR that will take effect on January 1, 2013 (HCB May 2012, page 3). The correction affects two entries in the Dangerous Goods List:
- UN 2208 calcium hypochlorite mixture, dry, with more than 10% but not more than 39% available chlorine, and - UN 3486 calcium hypochlorite, dry, corrosive with more than 10% but not more than 39% available chlorine.
The change can be found in 4.1.4.3 where, in LP02, “Special packing provision” is replaced by “Special packing provisions” and the addition of:
L3 Note: For UN Nos 2208 and 3486, carriage by sea in large packagings is prohibited.
