ICF liquidation continues

Switzerland-headquartered intermodal rail operator Intercontainer-Interfrigo (ICF) continues to have some of its transport services taken over by other companies following a decision late last year by ICF shareholders to place the company into liquidation. ICF’s ‘Western Europe’ business unit has been taken over by Intermove Systems (IMS). “We are glad to have found a neutral and experienced partner with IMS, which guarantees a high-quality continuation of our previous offerings,” says ICF.

In addition, Trans Eurasia Logistics (TEL) has taken over transport services for the ‘Ostwind’ container block trains, which run between Germany and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The company has established a common operations platform with IRS InterRail Services. IRS previously marketed this service via a joint venture with ICF, according to rail giant Deutsche Bahn, a TEL joint-venture partner. “Thanks to TEL’s involvement with Ostwind, there will be no interruption to the service provided to customers,” says Deutsche Bahn.
