Greenergy takes more UK capacity
Originally published:  26/07/2012
Greenergy has bought the terminal facility at the former Petroplus refinery at Seal Sands in the north-east of England. The company plans to improve the site, after which it will be integrated into its existing distribution system in the region, which is currently based on the nearby Vopak terminal. Greenergy says it will continue to use the Vopak site but is planning to add a railhead at the Petroplus facility to improve the efficiency of its operations.
This is Greenergy’s sixth investment in storage and distribution facilities in the UK, following hard on the heels of its acquisition of the Coryton refinery site in partnership with Vopak and Shell.
