Eitzen becomes Jason

At an extraordinary general meeting held this past December, shareholders in Camillo Eitzen & Co ASA approved a change in the company’s name to Jason Shipping ASA. The change comes at the end of a turbulent year for the group, during which time it has sold out of its gas tanker interests, discontinued its chemical tanker pool activities and seen the resignation of its president/CEO and CFO.

Jason Shipping has taken over Eitzen’s listing on the Oslo Stock Exchange; it has its corporate headquarters in the city, although its commercial offices are in Copenhagen. Its main investments are a 34 per cent holding in Eitzen Chemical and full ownership of Eitzen Maritime Services ASA. Both of these companies has its own listing in Oslo.

As from January 9, Jason Shipping has a new location at Stortingsgaten 30, N-0161 Oslo; its postal address (PO Box 1794 Vika, N-0122 Oslo) remains the same.
