Dupré wins ATA award
US road tanker operator Dupré Logistics announces that it has been recognised as one of the three winners of the American Trucking Association (ATA) President’s Trophy Award for 2010. “The ATA President’s Trophy, the highest safety award given to motor carriers in the US, is presented to only three motor carriers each year, one in each of three categories: Under 25 Million Miles, 25 to 100 Million Miles, and over 100 Million Miles. Dupré won the President’s Trophy Award for the 25 to 100 Million Miles category,” says Dupré. “Dupré received the award based on its safety record, programmes and community outreach activities.”
The honour follows an announcement by Dupré that it has formed a joint-venture company with storage giant Oiltanking named Oiltanking- Dupré, dedicated to petroleum coke handling. The entity will be based in Houston, Texas. “With this joint venture, both companies realise their strategy to move into dry bulk handling and other refinery service operations,” says Dupré. “Oiltanking and Dupré Logistics are well known and respected in the refinery industry, and it has become increasingly clear that an alliance of this nature is essential to meet the needs of their clients.”
