Brenntag moves in down under

Brenntag has completed its acquisition of ISM/Salkat, a move that will significantly expand its market position and product offering in Australia and New Zealand. "By acquiring the ISM/Salkat Group we make a significant step in building up the capability of Brenntag's network in Australia and New Zealand," says Brenntag CEO Steven Holland. "We look forward to working together with the highly experienced management team of the ISM/Salkat Group in order to further position Brenntag as a full-line chemical distributor with an extensive and competitive platform in Asia-Pacific."

ISM/Salkat expects to finish the year with sales of around A$ 117m ($120.6m).
