Battery workshop lined up

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is planning to hold a second Lithium Battery Workshop, which will aim to provide practical assistance on the application of lithium battery testing and air transport regulations. The Workshop, which will take place in Houston this coming November 6 and 7, should be of interest to battery manufacturers, distributors, freight forwarders, ground handling agents and airlines, especially in light of the major changes to the lithium battery provisions that are due to enter into force on January 1, 2013.
