Oh calamity!

As is normal, politicians and journalists alike have spent much of the month of January telling us what we can expect to happen over the coming year. This year's soothsayers have been unremittingly downbeat, with dire warnings of economic tribulations spilling over into widespread recession.

On the cards

At its November meeting, WP15 agreed to make substantial changes to the provisions in ADR concerning Instructions in Writing for drivers of vehicles carrying dangerous goods. While these amendments should make it simpler to comply, some remain concerned that it will reduce the quality of the information available in the event of an incident
