p2p buys key transport provider

Belgium-headquartered pack2pack (p2p), arguably Europe’s largest reconditioning firm, has acquired S-Trans, a transport company with which it has worked for a number of years in France and Belgium, where S-Trans has been its main provider of transport services.

The acquisition, p2p reports, will allow it to further integrate and improve logistic services throughout the group, with the company also gaining “know-how on logistics as the former owner and managing director of S-Trans Geert Scherrens will continue to work with the pack2pack group”.

p2p hit with fine

According to the Brighouse Echo, industrial packaging reconditioner pack2pack (p2p) has been fined £12,000 plus £6,926 costs after an intermediate bulk container (IBC) exploded at its Brighouse, UK facility last March, resulting in one worker, Mohammed Ahmed Ali, receiving 15 per cent burns to his forearms, thighs, genitals and lower abdomen.
