Control sounds the alarm

Texas-based Control Company has unveiled the Liquid Alarm, an “inexpensive” sensor that can be placed on a floor near a pump or overflow tube to detect whether a drum, tank, flask or laboratory beaker is close to overfilling. “It’s the perfect reminder for unattended filling of any container. The moment a solution touches the sensor, the alarm sounds and a red LED light flashes continually until the liquid no longer touches the sensor,” the company says. Battery-operated and fitted with a 3-metre cable, the system can sound continuously for over 30 hours. A designer, manufacturer and distributor of equipment and scientific instruments, Control commands an extensive portfolio of products for industrial, laboratory and other applications, ranging from variable-flow chemical transfer pumps and thermometers to mini-dolly folding carts and calculators.
